Fender Stratocaster 1957 blonde refinished
Die Fender Stratocaster ist neben der Telecaster, der Gibson Les Paul und der ES335 eine der klassischen Blues-Rock Gitarren. Dieses Modell aus 1957 ist sowohl vom Zustand als auch vom Preis her weit entfernt von einem 100%tig originalem Sammlerstück aus dieser Zeit. Von den ca. 25 originalen Maple-Neck-Strats aus der Zeit von 1954 bis 1959 die ich jemals gespielt habe, gehört diese aber vom Ton her definitiv zu den Top3.

Vintage Guitar Show Veenendaal (NL), march 2011
The Vintage Guitar Show in Veenendaal is a European institution for more then 20 years. My last visit dates back to 2003 when the show was taking place in the very charming theatre De Lampegiet. Since a few years the show is located in a bigger place – De VEENENDAALHAL. Even this place gets really crowded around lunch time though I understand this move – but for me the theatre is the real thing.

Fender Jaguar 1964 – red over blond
Die Fender Jaguar wurde Mitte 1962 als Fender-Topmodell eingeführt. Sie erfreute sich Mitte der 60er-Jahre großer Beliebtheit im Rahmen der Surf-Musik. Kurz darauf verschwand sie in der Obskurität/Bedeutungslosigkeit bis sie in den 80er von einigen Alternativ-Rockgruppen und in den 90er Jahren im Grunge wieder verstärkt genutzt wurde (meist auf Grund des niedrigen Preises und als Kontrapunkt zum Rock-Establishment).
